Our Places

Visit the Cibolo Nature Center to experience the immense natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

Featuring a variety of natural landscapes and more than six miles of trails, the Cibolo Nature Center invites you to connect with the nourishing and healing power of the outdoors. Come walk through a native prairie, wade in the creek, look for wildlife in the spring-fed marsh, and feel the awe of the live oak or cypress canopy while immersing yourselves in the wonders of nature.

The Cibolo Nature Center has had an Edwards Aquifer Authority Weather Station in place since 2014. The station collects data on nine different parameters and is used by us, the EAA, and NASA for calibration of sensors on satellites. View more here.

Visit Herff Farm to connect to the past, present and future of living in harmony with the land.

Herff Farm is a gathering place offering public events, community gardens, a Farmers Market and hiking opportunities. It also serves as a natural laboratory for sustainable modern living—a place where children and adults learn how to protect our precious natural resources.

Historically significant and protecting an irreplaceable freshwater source, the Herff Farm is a vibrant hub that provides access to outdoor learning for children and a model for land stewardship for the greater community.

Sanctuary Lands

As a result of decades of thoughtful stewardship, we are the grateful recipients of land gifts across the Hill Country. The Sisterdale Sanctuary serves as our first and primary model for protecting landscapes beyond the Cibolo Nature Center and Herff Farm. This sanctuary reflects our commitment to land restoration and water conservation, where native habitats are nurtured and ecological health is actively restored through hands-on volunteer opportunities and intentional land management.
