Where Nature Teaches

Inspiring curiosity, stewardship, and connection at every stage of life.

At The Cibolo, education begins with connection to the land, to one another, and to something larger than ourselves. From families gathering at the Farmers Market to children exploring the creek’s edge, from quiet moments on the trails to hands-on volunteer service at Herff Farm, our spaces bring people together in meaningful and lasting ways.

Nature is our classroom and our teacher. At the Nest Nature School, young children learn through play, curiosity, and discovery, developing imagination, collaboration, resilience, and a deep sense of wonder. Nature-based learning supports not only academic growth, but also physical health, emotional well-being, and social development.

That foundation continues through year-round programs that serve learners of all ages. Outdoor classrooms, field trips, summer camps, leadership development programs, and community workshops create pathways for youth and adults alike to engage more deeply with conservation. Whether it’s a child attending camp for the first time, a teen stepping into leadership, or an adult expanding their environmental knowledge, participants gain practical skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility for the natural world.

Across every stage of life, The Cibolo provides environmental education that fosters respect for the land, care for living things, and stronger community connections.
